[ This went from a place that was affected by other people's emotions to a place that would suck him dry of all of his emotions should he lose the pendant that he was given. That's...kind of important and nice to know.
While it isn't exactly nefarious it does put everything in a different light for Yuuri. ]
No one has lost their crystal before, have they?
[ Not that Yuuri plans on losing his at all. He's going to keep it on him for more than one reason. Absolutely. ]
[Surprisingly(?) he still doesn't seem all that concerned for the apparent gravity of the topic.]
...I wanna say no, but knowin' some of the people here...
[There's... definitely no way he could guarantee that.]
If you lose it though, no need to panic! You can catch an airship over to the temple - just tell the guys at the dock that you need a new crystal, they'll get it. Our crystals fill up with 'emotion drops' over time anyway, so we've gotta swap 'em out for new ones every once in a while.
Whether it's 'cause you lose it or 'cause it fills up, the place where Otherworlders get their new crystals is in the temple ruins. People ought to be able to direct you at the temple itself if you ask.
[ And with that gently acknowledged, Yuuri's going to force himself forward onto the lighter, better, topic of learning how these amulets get filled and that they were given new ones in exchange. It's interesting. ]
Does anything special happen after you fill them up?
[ Yuuri kind of wants to know how long it might take to fill one up too but he leaves that for later depending on how he answers. ]
Is there any kind of benefit for having multiple ones?
That one depends on what you wanna use it for. Those crystals hold a lotta power packed into ‘em from all the emotion drops they’ve collected over time. If you know how, you can even use them to boost your dunamis if you need to.
Most people give ‘em to the arehtei, though. They seem to appreciate it, and it seems it nets you a vision of home if you do… But I can’t say what it’s like, seein’ as I’ve kept all mine.
[ Honestly, the only part of what he said that mattered to Yuuri was how he mentioned visions of home. Does that mean it could help them get home too? ]
I see.
[ You know, despite their rough patch in the beginning, he actually has been pretty helpful. ]

Thank you for telling me all of this.

Well, it wouldn't be real fair to just leave you to the wolves. Besides that, you'll be able to check out the rest on your own anyway.
[He points. Up ahead is a building that's helpfully labeled 'Welcome Centre' according to the sign out front.]
Ta-daaah.
