[ This beast was unleashed by Yuuri and he's going to just have to deal with it. Hopefully he doesn't develop and ulcer from Viktor's antics. WHO KNOWS...

Lines are made to be challenged and crossed. At least, that's Viktor's viewpoint. There was no reason to restrain yourself from doing something you want. That's honestly no way to live life. It'd be dull and boring. At least, to him it is.

But ouch, Yuuri! That line. Maybe some restraint wouldn't hurt. At least in that regard. ]

Yuuri, my poor heart! [ He's being dramatic. He's always a bit dramatic, though, so this shouldn't be a surprise. There's a heavyhearted sigh as he clutches his shirt over his heart and skates onto the ice. ]

[ There was no way that Yuuri was going to develop an ulcer but he was going to have a hard time getting used to all of it—if he ever was going to get used to it in the first place. Going from having absolutely no experience with any of this to (not-so) suddenly exposed to all of this was hard.

And Yuuri's not moved by Viktor's dramatics because he has long learned about his dramatics and how he enjoyed to play things up to get a rise out of Yuuri. Though, to be fair, Yuuri was slowly getting better with getting his just revenge whenever and wherever he could. ]

Come on Viktor. [ ...but maybe making a light jab at his age was a bit harsh. When JJ did it to him, he remembers the feeling. He'll hold his hand out as a peace offering. ]

We came here to skate, didn't we?

[ Whenever Yuuri actually comes home from work, he'll find Viktor on the couch idly petting Makkachin and looking at the ceiling. The normal, excited greeting that Viktor would normally have for Yuuri is lacking as he seems to simply be stuck in hs thoughts. Normally, Makkachin would be right there greeting Yuuri, as well, but the pup seems glued to the master for now.

Sorry for this lack of a greeting, Yuuri. And for the look that's set on Viktor's face as he stares off into nothing. ]

[ Honestly when Yuuri returns home to not be immediately greeted by either Makkachin or/and Viktor, his first thought is that they had gone out together. However, as he makes it deeper into their shared space and spots Viktor pensive on the couch, he takes his time getting closer. He hadn't seen that kind of expression on Viktor's face before and Yuuri wants to take it in instead of disturbing it.

It's what he wants to do but he also wants to know what is causing Viktor to make that expression in the first place. Quietly, he'll pad over to the couch and lean against the back of where Viktor was resting. Then gently, as not to surprise him, he'll press a finger into that one particular spot as he smiles down at Makkachin. ]

I'm home, Viktor. Makkachin.

[ That gentle touch doesn't startle him, just breaking him from his deep thoughts and his gaze shifts to meet Yuuri's eyes. The hand that was being used to gently pet Makkachin shifts to reach up and rest on Yuuri's cheek. The touch is very tender. ]

Welcome home, Yuuri.

[ There's a hint of relief in his voice, seeing Yuuri here. He knows it's selfish of him, but he honestly doesn't care. He's not ready to give up this life he has with Yuuri quite yet. ]

[ Unconsciously, he'll lean into Viktor's touch for a moment before coming out from behind the back of the couch and join Viktor and Makkachin. He takes the opposite corner of the couch and draws his legs in. While he was slowly getting more and more comfortable with sharing a space with Viktor, there were still some hang ups.

They were significantly more affectionate towards one another, or well, Viktor was significantly more affectionate. It was like the flood gates opened for him and Viktor made it very clear that he was going to take full advantage of their new "status". Yuuri had his moments—mainly seen whenever they were alone like this. ]

I'm surprised you didn't greet me by the door.

[ Being reserved was never a strong point for Viktor, obviously, so now that they have an official status and Yuuri all but gave him permission to be himself to the full extent, he's going to deliver on that. Not much changed from before in terms of affection, but kisses come more readily, especially knowing they won't be rejected. ]

I lost track of the time. [ He doesn't even bother to shift his position on the couch, but he does make sure that Yuuri has plenty of room. Makkachin, however, does shift to greet Yuuri with a few licks. ]

Have you heard about the wall that shows the people that have left this place?

[ Yuuri makes no comment about how Viktor has lost track of time and instead takes a moment to greet Makkachin himself with pressing his face against Makkachin's and rubbing their noses together. He'll look up at Viktor while still holding onto Makkachin's face when he finally speaks. ]

No, I don't think I have.

[ But it doesn't take a genius to figure out where Viktor was going with this. There's an unsettled feeling that creeps up on him. Something must have happened and that was the cause of Viktor's uncertainty. ] ...was there someone we know one that board?

Yuri's on that list.

[ He knows that the other Russian had been very elusive around the place, but he didn't expect this to happen. It didn't sit right with him. Especially since he had no clue it had happened until he saw the board. Maybe he should have been a bit more proactive about harassing the teen.

Though, it isn't the worst, either. It's good that Yuri is home and able to get back to skating and doing what he needs to do. He'd eventually see him again, but he had to admit, having him here was also extremely refreshing. ]

[ Oh.

That explained the mood. Yuri had been rather hard to get into contact with and he had notice a fair amount of silence on his end but he always figured it was because Yuri wanted space. It wasn't as if Yuri particularly clung or wanted to be around Viktor and him. But to know that it was because he had gone back home... ]

It's better that he's home, isn't it?

[ Yuuri says softly. He thinks back to the first week they were here and how Yuuri had told Viktor not to get too comfortable. This is what he had meant. ]

[ True that it is better that he is at home, but at the same time, what JJ said to him on the ice that one day struck a bad cord with him. They won't remember this place, is what he's been told.

Maybe it really would be best if they got home as fast as possible and left this place without forging too deep of memories and feelings.

But that was impossible for Viktor. He couldn't just stop living because of the chance of going home and forgetting all of this that he's shared with Yuuri and everyone else. In the chance that Yuuri hadn't heard that detail, he's not going to mention it. This wasn't something that he'd need to share. ]

It is. I just didn't expect it so soon.

[ With that, he is going to shift his position on the couch and gently guide Makkachin away from Yuuri so he can properly greet him. Perhaps there is a bit of a sulk from the pup, but also an understanding of Viktor's current emotions. Viktor gently reaches out to place both hands on Yuuri's cheeks and presses their foreheads together.

With this, he also realizes that there is no certainty on how long they'll be there. All he can hope is that at the end he's able to go home at the same time as Yuuri. Or, at least, he isn't leaving Yuuri alone in a place like this. It wouldn't feel right. ]

Sometimes that happens. [ Yuuri thinks back to Yona who had quite the turn around herself with Hak. One moment she had mentioned that he was there and then the next he was gone. While Yuri was not exactly the same level of importance to him as Hak was to Yona, he still affected by it.

But Viktor's reaction was rather suspicious. He knew that Yuri and him were far closer than either one of them would have lead on, but Viktor was clinging to Yuuri as if the "Yuri" that had left, was him and not the other one. Was he worried about how either one of them would leave before the other?

Admittedly, that was something that Yuuri didn't spend too much time thinking about because he didn't want to imagine what it'd be like without Viktor here with him. ]

But, it'll be okay, Viktor.

[ Yuuri takes their physical intimacy a bit farther by moving to be on Viktor's lap. He can feel his ear tips grow hot from his actions but he hoped that this would make things better. He had never really had to comfort Viktor in this manner before but he knows how much he loved to touch him. ] I'll be here.

[ Viktor would be lying if he said the intimacy and boldness of Yuuri didn't help soothe his worries and heart. Casually, his arms wrap around Yuuri's waist and he holds him close.

For as much as that does comfort him, he does have to remind Yuuri of words that he spoke almost immediately on their arrival here. ]

That's not something you can promise.

[ Maybe it's stubborn of him to do that and it's not his normal optimistic type of thing to say or feel, but it is something that Yuuri had initially pointed out and he's going to remind him of that and let him know how it felt to be told that when trying to say something this important. Childish? Yeah, it most certainly is. But that's Viktor for you. ]

[ Well, Viktor is the oldest of the lot of them. That's something he couldn't deny. And compared to someone like Yuri, that was a bit of a gap between them. He's just a bit crazy and wants to keep pushing his body until the very end. ]

I don't know if I have it in me after that. [ This is a lie. A blatant lie, at that, but he'll say it anyway. They did come here to skate and he's not about to not skate just over some joking comment. But it didn't mean he couldn't pretend otherwise.

Someone help this man. ]

[ He doesn't need to remind him of it too much because it's something that he remembers as well. Viktor had been so upset during that time and Yuuri had been so adamant about how they shouldn't get too comfortable with how things were. He still feels that way but he has allowed himself to fall into a sort of pace.

Resting his head against Viktor, he'll clarify what he had meant. Hopefully all of this would be enough. If it wasn't, Yuuri wouldn't know what he would do. Viktor was usually the one consoling him than the other way around. ]

Right now—I'll be here right now.

[ Since that's what he could promise to Viktor. For this moment right now, he was here with Viktor and if by some reason either one of them vanished... ]

And I'll be there too.

[ For whenever they would both go back...at the same time or not. ]

[ He could tell it was a joke because if Viktor was honestly serious about it, then his whole demeanor would be different. ...probably. It's what he suspects would have happened based on his previous experience with Viktor and his more childish moments.

With a little shrug, he'll start doing small halfhearted figure-eights while Viktor "sulks". They may love (or "love") each other but Yuuri also enjoyed skating on the ice whenever he could. Still, all of the time he spent on the ice was so that he could catch up to the man who was with him right now. Once he had finish the cycle of this particular eight, he'll skate back over to where Viktor was sulking and hold a hand out. ]

Are you sure?

[ a fancy lavender envelope will be delivered to yuuri's doorstep today! it's sealed with a blue snowflake stamp, and when opened, it will reveal an invite. there's two envelopes, so the other is definitely for viktor... sweats

the party will be on march 6 oocly! and the address on the invite is weiss' home. ]

[ This does help ease his heart. He closes his eyes and just soaks up that feeling, letting out a quiet sigh. Those thoughts aren't just going to disappear, but he shouldn't dwell on them, either.

The fact is, Yuuri's right. He has him here now and there isn't a reason to waste any precious time with him. And... even if they don't remember, they have home. The issue they had when they first arrived, well, that'll still be there, but he has faith that their bond won't break that easily. Yuuri is his one certainty he doesn't want to let go of now that he has him there. ]

I'll keep you to that.

[ Even if they don't get back at the same time, he can rest assured that time would be on pause at home and they won't lose any of the time they're meant to have together, at least. That's something he can hold onto. ]

[ Yuuri doesn't say anything to that—he had wanted to have Viktor say the same about himself but he didn't. It would have been the same and while Yuuri had been reserved and uncertain of the depths of his own feelings, that hadn't been the case for Viktor. Viktor had fallen for him so deeply.

It was almost unfair to Viktor to have to wait for Yuuri to play catch-up. The flush on his face still remains but he'll place a hand onto Viktor's head and begin to card his hands through Viktor's hair. It was so fine and well cared for. ]

Did you spend the entire time I was at work upset over this?

[ There's humor in his voice but Yuuri also knows that there was no way that Viktor would have wasted the better half of the day over something like this. Or, well, he hoped that was the case. ]

[ Yeah, he's being a giant baby, jokingly. There's no reason he wouldn't want to be on the ice, especially since they traveled all this way to get here. This would, indeed, be one of his more childish moments.

It's like a switch is flicked because most of the pouting melts away instantly and he reaches out to take Yuuri's hand. Even if he had been serious in his pouting, there was no way he could turn him down right now. ]

You might be convincing me otherwise.

[ With that, he lets himself be escorted onto the ice. ]

[ It was made pretty apparent at the start that Viktor would be here for Yuuri and wouldn't just disappear. That he'd fight against whatever forces tried to take him home first. That's why he doesn't declare it right now. Maybe he should have, but there would be plenty of times that he would say basically the same thing over and over and express it even in everything he does.

But as far as being unfair, that doesn't matter to Viktor. He doesn't see it even slightly unfair. Sure, he can be impatient and pushy, but he doesn't feel like what Yuuri does is unfair. They misunderstand each other and have moments where they have miscommunication, but it's never for the fact that Viktor feels slighted in that way. In the moments where he feels slighted, he makes sure to make it known. All he wants is Yuuri to open up to his emotions at his own pace and he wants to be there to help him along the way. It's like seeing a bud blooming into a beautiful flower. ]

Not the entire time.

[ That's the truth. He had been here thinking for a while, but it certainly wasn't the whole duration of Yuuri being gone. If it had been a longer span of time, he would have considered seeking out Yuuri and harassing him. That's just how he is. ]

[ Once he's holding hands with Yuuri, he doesn't quite know what to do after that. They were on the ice together holding hands and testing out skates that were not their own in a rink that was unfamiliar in a place that was equally unfamiliar. The skates were sharpened well enough but it would be hard to do anything while their hands were like this, or at least, until Viktor stopped his sulking.

In some sort of poetic way, the only thing that they had were each other in this vast expanse of things that weren't their own and weren't known to them. It's a thought that Yuuri tries not to think about too much as he looks at their intertwined hands. ]

It looks like I managed to get you on the ice. [ A thought hits him suddenly—something that Yuuko and him used to as children. ] Maybe I can push you if you refuse to skate for yourself?

Hmm... Then what did you spend your day doing?

[ Good, Viktor hadn't spent too long obsessing over that; he would have expected to be bothered in one way or another if he had. Yuuri, however, still continues to run his hand through Viktor's hair as to help ease any kind of uneasiness that was shared by both of them and was being hidden away.

Moments like these were rare but also slowly becoming something more natural. Sure their status being a little more defined had a huge say in that matter, but maybe they would have gotten here eventually. Maybe. Especially with how sometimes Yuuri would get the urge to want to touch Viktor in the same way that he touched him. ]

Was it a busy schedule?

[ He teases lightly. ]

[ Luckily it seemed like they had decent enough skates here. Compared to the normal rentals one might get at a rink, too. If that were the case, they'd be pretty doomed for things to try out on the ice. But it did also give him high interest in wanting actual skates here. Since there would be a limit to what they could honestly pull off.

It doesn't bother Viktor, that type of thought. At least not right now. There are times where it felt like they were the only ones left in their little world on the ice and even if this was unfamiliar ice with unfamiliar skates, ice is still the same no matter what. ]

Push me? I'd love to see you try that. [ The idea of Yuuri doing that to him sounded actually very cute and he can't help but see if he'd actually do something like that. ]

Do you think I can't?

[ The next part of that joke was going to be suggesting of whether or not Viktor was calling himself fat, but there was absolutely that would have left Yuuri's mouth. He had seen the man naked far more than anyone else did and definitely knew better than to even joke about Viktor being fat.

No, the man was built like a god. ...and Yuuri had to stop thinking about that so he let go of Viktor's hand and quickly skated around to behind him and placed his hands onto Viktor's shoulder blades and started to push against him and dug his skates into the ice until they both started to move.

Admittedly it was a lot harder than he remembered as a child with Yuuko, but there were many different factors at play for that. What was important was that he was pushing Viktor over the ice. ]
