[ Sorry, Yuuri, you've seen the goods before and this probably won't be the last time. Granted, it's not a full body shot, but when Viktor opts to contact Yuuri, he's in the middle of a shower. Hopefully he had the timing right about when to reach out to him and he's done with his shift. ]
[ Don't apologize for things that you don't actually feel sorry for.
Those lies aside, Yuuri was still adjusting to life with a "normal" job; it was pretty fun honestly. He had never worked really anywhere so it was fulfilling in a weird way. He was just admiring some of the quaint shops that were near his work when Viktor messages(?) him.
For the most briefest of moments, his heart flutters because he was excited to receive a message from Viktor until well, he actually receives it. And—it really isn't something he hasn't seen before. However, seeing it himself and then having it forced into his head telepathically and expectantly it's.
[ Yuuri shouts out loud once he has recovered a fraction of his dignity and momentarily forgets that it was all telepathic. So, now people are staring at him... ]
[ Ah, the heat around him is absolutely oppressive as his face burns.
He wants to die. What happens when people die here? Yuuri's tempted to find out but instead he darts away and down into some alley hoping that no one will be following him. Praying for this to be so. ]
[ He takes a moment to collect himself with both hands over his chest before he can even begin to focus and reply to Viktor. But he makes it...he totally makes it and totally somehow composes himself enough to where he can reply back to him. Communication through the amulets was weird but thanks to Ariel, Yuuri manages for the most part. However, to save some face, he doesn't reply with an image but only his voice. ]
[ You can bet your sweet ass that Viktor can hear that over the link. After all, thoughts are pretty honest in nature. Honestly, he had no idea why Yuuri would sound so distressed right now. His arms drop down and he now looks like he's filled with great concern, especially since there was a lag in communication to Yuuri responding back. ]
[ it's valentine's day, and weiss has heard all about it from people from earth! she doesn't have a significant other, but it's apparently okay to celebrate with friends, so that's what weiss decides to do.
a messenger bird will swoop in and mess up yuuri's hair before dropping a small bouquet and a card that reads: ]
[On the day of February 14th, should they open the door, they might find a bag covered with candy nearby! And should that person also look closer, they might also see some jumbo pixie sticks in there too! Why, you might ask? The better question is why not!
And right beside the pink glittery bag, they might also find a note! What does it say, you might ask?]
Happy Valentine’s Day! Hope you get a lot of candy and may you find love in your future! Just be sure to hold your breath, spin around 3 times, add some sugar down the toilet, and make a wish! I know it’ll come true for you!
[ He hadn't expected her to contact him directly like this after recieving the candies, honestly. He hadn't signed it but... Maybe she was just asking him in general? ]
Well, it's a holiday where people celebrate love by sending people gifts—mostly candy.
[ Whenever Yuuri actually comes home from work, he'll find Viktor on the couch idly petting Makkachin and looking at the ceiling. The normal, excited greeting that Viktor would normally have for Yuuri is lacking as he seems to simply be stuck in hs thoughts. Normally, Makkachin would be right there greeting Yuuri, as well, but the pup seems glued to the master for now.
Sorry for this lack of a greeting, Yuuri. And for the look that's set on Viktor's face as he stares off into nothing. ]
[ Honestly when Yuuri returns home to not be immediately greeted by either Makkachin or/and Viktor, his first thought is that they had gone out together. However, as he makes it deeper into their shared space and spots Viktor pensive on the couch, he takes his time getting closer. He hadn't seen that kind of expression on Viktor's face before and Yuuri wants to take it in instead of disturbing it.
It's what he wants to do but he also wants to know what is causing Viktor to make that expression in the first place. Quietly, he'll pad over to the couch and lean against the back of where Viktor was resting. Then gently, as not to surprise him, he'll press a finger into that one particular spot as he smiles down at Makkachin. ]
[ That gentle touch doesn't startle him, just breaking him from his deep thoughts and his gaze shifts to meet Yuuri's eyes. The hand that was being used to gently pet Makkachin shifts to reach up and rest on Yuuri's cheek. The touch is very tender. ]
Welcome home, Yuuri.
[ There's a hint of relief in his voice, seeing Yuuri here. He knows it's selfish of him, but he honestly doesn't care. He's not ready to give up this life he has with Yuuri quite yet. ]
[ a fancy lavender envelope will be delivered to yuuri's doorstep today! it's sealed with a blue snowflake stamp, and when opened, it will reveal an invite. there's two envelopes, so the other is definitely for viktor... sweats
the party will be on march 6 oocly! and the address on the invite is weiss' home. ]
[ It isn't every morning that Yuuri is the first to wake up. There are plenty of times when Viktor is up and taking care of things before him. It's just that he'd prefer to remain curled up by Yuuri until he wakes up and sometimes falls back asleep from the sleepy atmosphere.
Today, though, Yuuri will be waking up to an empty apartment with a simple note on the pillow reading:
Happy White Day, Yuuri.
There's a simple heart after his name and a tiny paw print drawn nearby, too. Whenever he decides to go downstairs, there's a living plant there with violets and blue violets- or whatever type of plant would be available to be such equivalent according to the shop owner. There's also an assortment of candies from one of the native shops, probably some specialties of this place.
It seems he and Makkachin are out on their morning walk or something of that sort. ]
[ Let's be real, if Yuuri never had to do anything, he'd stay in bed well into the afternoon sleeping.
And he isn't too surprised to see the flowers or the candies waiting for him downstairs. If anything, he'll take a quiet moment to appreciate the flowers making a few mental notes to see if he couldn't try to dry and press them later. He'll also sneak in a few of the candies; he knows he should keep an eye on how much he indulges but a few would be fine for today.
Not to allow himself to be completely empty-handed, he'll leave something for Viktor as well. It was only fair. Sure he had sort of cheated with Valentine's Day but he allowed Viktor to have White Day. Purposefully, he'll place his own card right next to the one left for him. Next to them, a small dish with cookies and an empty cup with a small box of some tea sitting next to it.
[The messenger birds, or whoever is responsible, deliver a package to Yuuri: inside are a pair of newly manufactured skates, suitable for competitive skating (of course, since they're based on JJ's own top-of-the-line skates).
[ Yuuri's surprised to receive the skates; he had almost forgotten that JJ mentioned this all those weeks ago. They're not his skates but they're definitely well made.
He'll send a note back: ]
Thank you, JJ. Let me know if there's anything I can do to repay you for these.
[ weiss is never late. or, well. she's not late unless there are external factors which hinder her from being on time. it's why she's waiting for yuuri at sweetie pies ten minutes before an hour passes since they "spoke".
she's seemingly not impatient, but anxious. it's not everyday she explains to people her issues??? why does she have to do this...... oh, because "trust" is a key to forming friendships. ughhhhh. ]
[ Yuuri does his best not to take too long settling things, mainly with Makkachin, before heading out to meet Weiss at Sweetie Pies. He's never been there but the place is obvious enough as he spots it and Weiss both.
Honestly, he's kind of surprised to see her already here and waiting. Impatiently at that. ]
Sorry; were you waiting long?
[ Which would be typical date line except Yuuri's engaged and they're here to talk about her daddy issues. ]
[ the first day Viktor didn't show up at the rink, he was a little suspicious, but he shrugged it off. the second day, suspicion evolved into a bad feeling, and on the third day he set out to pay a visit to his former home and his former cat.
oh, and Yuuri, I guess.
he knocks on the door, and should Yuuri answer, he'll find Yuri looking surly as always, but also a little somber. it's an unusual look for him. he wastes no time on greetings. ]
[ The knock on the door takes him by surprise—he hadn't expected anyone to stop by. Then again, it's not like he made himself widely available for anyone to track him down outside of his daily routine.
However before he goes to answer the door, he'll make sure to wipe his face with the backside of his hand and greet the door with his best (weakest) smile possible. Though the "greeting" he gets stings more than normal. It's painful even. ]
Hello to you too, Yurio.
[ Which isn't to confirm, deny, or even remotely address whether Viktor's gone but honestly the way Yuuri's carrying himself and how awful he looks should say everything. Eyes red and slightly puffy, his complexion a bit paler than normal, his hair even more of a mess... ]
